Che cos'è lo SCOR 2030?
La risposta più facile sarebbe la metà di una 4060, ma è molto di più. La 2030 è una bici da trail short travel realizzata alla maniera di SCOR. Ciò significa che abbiamo posto l'accento sul divertimento e abbiamo fatto le cose in modo un po' diverso.
In modo diverso?
Molte bici da trail short travel si guidano come bici da XC ingrossate, la 2030 sembra una bici da enduro snellita. Ottiene la sua velocità di punta non preoccupandosi del peso, ma aumentando le prestazioni.
L'angolo di sterzo di 64,5° è più aperto di molte bici da enduro, il che dà un'idea delle sue intenzioni.
Il telaio in carbonio ha una classificazione ASTM 4, quindi è adatto allo stesso tipo di guida del nostro telaio 4060. Questo significa che è molto resistente.
Le sospensioni si basano sul leveraggio centro istantaneo della 4060, ma sono state messe a punto per racchiudere il carattere SCOR in un pacchetto con un'escursione più corta.
Il tutto si traduce in una bici sicura ed efficiente sulle salite, ma che può competere con bici dall'escursione molto più lunga sulle discese.
Come mai questa scelta?
Fondamentalmente, non pensiamo che la quantità di sospensioni di una bicicletta debba dettare la quantità di divertimento che si può avere su di essa. Questa non è una "bici piccola", è la bici giusta per i ciclisti che si divertono a spingere al limite una bici short travel.
Quando abbiamo progettato la 2030 l'abbiamo vista come una bici per uscite al 50% in salita e al 60% in discesa. È una bici da trail il cui potenziale è equamente suddiviso, solo più equamente suddiviso da una parte che in un’altra. I conti tornano, credeteci...
Sembra una bici da trail short travel.
Lo è, ma questo non toglie nulla alla sua capacità di coprire la distanza come una bici tradizionale short travel. Se le grandi uscite in montagna, le lunghe attività di più giorni e le uscite molto veloci sono la tua passione, la 2030 è adatta anche a questo. Ma, grazie alla capacità di affrontare tutti i percorsi tecnici che si presenteranno quando sarai nel backcountry, non ti lascerai sfuggire l'occasione di avere una bici con un'escursione più lunga.
Come scegliere tra una 2030 e una 4060 ST?
Innanzitutto, la 2030 ha un'escursione posteriore di 120 mm e la 4060 ST di 140 mm. Questo potrebbe essere sufficiente a farti decidere per una piuttosto che per l’altra, ma ciò che conta davvero è il tuo modo di guidare. Se sei il tipo di ciclista che si spinge sempre a portare la bicicletta al limite in ogni uscita, o se i tuoi percorsi sono più facili e non hai bisogno di molta escursione, la 2030 sarà un mezzo molto più gratificante. Se le tue uscite sono destinate a portarti fuori pista e i bike park fanno parte delle tue attività, allora una 4060 ST sarà la scelta più naturale.
E la parte 30 del 2030?
Per chi cerca un po' più di escursione posteriore, è possibile portare la 2030 a 130 mm con un ammortizzatore da 52,5 mm di corsa. Noi pensiamo che 120 mm siano il punto di forza e siamo certi che una volta provati sarai d'accordo.
Ci sono altre regolazioni integrate?
Sì, la serie sterzo con regolazione dell'angolo consente di passare da 64,5º a 65,5º, quindi se sei alla ricerca di ancora più precisione puoi aumentare un po' l’apertura. A proposito di opzioni, la 2030 è disponibile in cinque taglie diverse, per cui è facile trovare la misura giusta.
Cos'è quello sportello sul tubo obliquo?
Intendi il portello Stash? È un posto comodo per... riporre i tuoi oggetti. Attrezzi, tubi, chiavi, burrito... E come se non bastasse, c'è un supporto per accessori sulla parte inferiore del tubo orizzontale. Inoltre, è possibile montare una borraccia da 500 ml su tutti i telai. Aggiungi un paio di borse alla 2030 e avrai la configurazione da bikepacking più originale in circolazione.
E infine, oserei chiedere del passaggio dei cavi?
Sappiamo cosa stai pensando e… no, non passano attraverso lo sterzo. Il passaggio dei cavi è interno, ma è completamente guidato per rendere la vita più facile e silenziosa, sia sulla bicicletta che nella sezione commenti di Pinkbike.
